Great to look at....

So we went in search of the elusive Choccywoccydoodah. I was very excited about this as i love their show and think the things they make and the style in which they make them are fab, all kitsch and camp and wonderful.

We spent rather a long time trying to find their shop, and in the end realised we'd walked straight past it the day before and not even noticed! I really don't pay attention.

When we did find it i was happy to see that they had a great Halloween inspired window display with lots of skulls and glitter. First impressions were good.

However upon entering the shop, with the intention to purchase a little something, i have to say that i was somewhat disappointed by the price.

Now i am not someone who minds spending a bit of money on chocolate, but i felt that the prices were prohibitively high. And a little voice in the back of my head was remembering some comments i had read online that said that while the style of choccywoccy couldn't be matched, their chocolate actually wasn't amazing.

And with Hotel Chocolat less than half the price (and their chocolate i know is amazing having been part of their Tasting Club for many years previously) i was inclined to go across the road to them.

I did however spend quite a long time in Choccywoccy looking at their amazing craftsmanship which is very impressive. Plus the feel of the shop is (in the words of that very annoying Disney advert) simply magical.

I will, of course, be watching the new series on the telly as i do love them, but i just won't be actually eating any of their chocolate any time soon. Which is a shame.

I also forgot to say yesterday that, in keeping with the seaside theme, Lawrence bought me a stick of fruit flavored Brighton rock. Who needs chocolate anyway? (me!).
