I robot.

I am going to be very good and productive today. Yes i am. I am going to sew sew sew and take lots of photos of what i am working on so i can put them on here. Although not till after the wedding, which is next weekend. It's turning out really well, i hope you like it when i put it on here.

Although this morning i have been mooching about on Etsy. It's Lawrence (my boyfriend)'s birthday soon and i need to sort out his birthday presents. He loves robots, i also love robots but not as much as he does.

There are lots and lots of lovely robot type things on etsy. These are some of my favorites so far:

Robot Soaps by Lokibean here.

I heart robot pillowcase by Mengsel design here.

Binary greeting card by MaribelP here.

Lambswool robot cushion by Sara Carr here.

And a weRobot letter press print by Chop Shop here. (We already own this, it has pride of place in our hall).

So much to do and so little time.

I am a very busy bee. I have a lot of weddings coming up and i'm making wedding presents for the happy couples (shhh don't tell anyone!). Which i love doing, but i have a problem...

Time is a ticking. Not good. I am fast running out of time and still have so much to do. I should be soldiering on but i am tired and i want to sit and snuggle down on the sofa and watch The Wire and eat the Caramac i bought earlier (do you remember those? They always remind me of swimming lessons when i was a kid. We were allowed to pick something out of the vending machine afterwards and i always bought those).

I think i'll write today off and start a fresh tomorrow. Yup, snuggling it is.

I also have a confession to make. I have been channeling my inner Japanese child and become a little bit obsessed with Japanese sticker flakes. They now cover a lot of surfaces in my flat. I love them. So cute and bright and small. I may be just ordered a load more. Hee hee.

Hello Geronimo.

Howdy Friday people! Hope you have a lovely weekend planned, whether it be a fast busy one or a slow relaxing one.

I'm working all weekend so it will be a long and probably busy one for me!

Just wanted to share something with you on this sunny (for now) Friday morning and it is this: Happy Geronimo. Button and badge art made by a lovely lady called Vicky. She has been creating these handmade framed silhouettes since 2010 as in idea born out of needing a unique and original wedding present for friends. I think she is a clever soul.

What do you think? You can find her pieces for sale here.

Everyone's a fruit and nut case.

I have been pondering something this morning. Not major important type thinking, more flippant fun daydreaming type wondering. And what i have been thinking about is this: if i had to pick a favorite chocolate bar, which would it be?

(I told you it wasn't anything important!).

Now, i am a massive fan of chocolate. And not in any way a chocolate snob. I am just as happy with a cheapie bar as i would with an expensive box. I probably eat it every day, sometimes (as i am bad) twice a day.

But which is the best? It's a difficult one. I also think that i go through phases. A Twirl will always be a staple of mine and i love a Star bar (but i don't have them that often as they are really naughty). And every now and again i mix it up with a Double Decker. All are very tasty!

Then there are those i never ever buy: Snickers, Twix, Crunchie, Munchies etc Although i would happily munch on them is someone gave one to me.

Chocolate, not very important but it's got me thinking! What's your favorite bar?

Little paper friends.

Good morning! I hope you are well. I am working all weekend and i think it's gonna be busy, what are you doing this weekend? Lovely things i hope.

Fortunately i think that my cold is nearly gone, which is good. It's been an evil little bug so i'm glad it's going away.

I wanted to share this book with you. It's called We Are Paper Toys by Collins Design. I bought it for my man at Christmas and we have had hours of fun making all the little paper people. What do you think of our efforts? I like the yellow robot best (i did not make that one, i am too slapdash for such an intricate little fella). It has a disc that comes with it which means you can print off as many of the designs on your computer as you like and don't have to cut up the book (which always makes me feel a little bit sad).

I would thoroughly recommend it, and since the bad weather is set to stay for a little bit what better way to spend an afternoon.

Jon Burgerman.

Jon Burgerman is a genius. I think so. What do you think? I love the bright and surreal figures and shapes.

You can find him here. You can also buy lots of amazing things here. There are prints, vinyl figures and even colour in wallpaper, which i really want!

Rain rain go away.

How are you today? Is it pouring with rain where you are? It is here and our roof has decided to leak, which is not good. I also have a nasty cought, which is also not good.

However, i plan to get cozy on the sofa and do some sewing for a commission i have. It's a toy for a child's christening present. It's looking pretty cool and i especially love the giant moustache it is sporting. I will put some photos on here as soon as i can find where i've put my camera (i am always losing my camera, do you often lose things? I do).

I have also been looking online for birthday ideas. I found these tin toys and i love them.

What do you think? Who wouldn't love a cute vintage robot or monkey!

I do love London but i also love home.

Well hello there. How are you today? I hope you are well. I am full of cold and feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Although i have a new little grey kitty asleep next to me on the sofa whilst i write this and that is cheering me up no end.

Plus i have just had the most lovely and relaxing week in London with my friends. I have been up to all sorts.

The only nice weather we had was the first day i was there so we made the most of it and packed a picnic and headed down to Clapham Common. It was packed with like minded people but we found a little space and read trashy magazines and ate sour dough bread and sweet potato dip, plus lots of flapjack (i am a big fan of flapjack).

The weather the rest of the week was pretty rubbish. But that just meant doing lot of indoors type stuff. I made a lovely banana bread-cake with cream cheese icing which was rather yummy. I made the recipe up so was pleased when it came out well.

I also made lots of things for a couple of wedding i am going to later in the year. Things for the tables of one of the weddings and a wedding present for the other. I have to keep both a secret for now but once the happy days have arrived i will of course show you. They are lovely and i think you will like them.

I also went to the V&A museum one day. I have never visited the V&A before and was happy as larry wandering about. I spent a lot of my time in the jewelery exhibition, but that is because i am a magpie and couldn't believe the size of some of the diamonds they had!

I hope you have a good week and are not full of cold. Now, where did i put that Night Nurse....

Our new little kitty.

Good morning! I hope you are all well. I have been in London all week and am having a lovely time. I will write more about all the fun things i have been up to when i get back.

However, i thought you might like to see the new addition to our home which we have aquired in my absence. I have yet to meet little Wilson (who i call Willy) but i have been sent lots of photos. He is super cute. But also a bit naughty and playful i hear!

Our black cat Monkey is not best pleased she has to share her home. But i'm sure they'll be friends soon. I'm looking forward to giving him a cuddle. Awwww.

My little Lunartik cuppa!

What do you think of my little customised cup of tea? My lovely man bought me this collectors edition milky DIY Lunartik tea which i have now covered in anna doodles. I love it!

What to do, what to do?

Hey hey hey!

As you may be able to tell by my greeting i am in a super duper good mood today! I have 10 days off from work and am spending seven of them up in London town with my friends. My bestest friends (well some of them, the ones that aren't jet setting about the globe and therefore can't be reached on a train).

All i need to do now is pack (which may take a while) and think of lots of fun things for us to be getting up to. I'm planning on going to lots of museums and galleries, as well as having a picnic at Clapham Common and probably a few cheeky glasses of wine.

I am also going to go to a trade fair called Pulse to have a look at what lovely things i might want to stock in my shop in the future (and therefore feeling good that i am doing something pro active about my future).

I plan on taking two bags with me, one with all the clothes and things i might need while i'm away, and another with craft things i want to do. Crocheting, sewing, quilting and the like. I must not pack too much, which i am prone to do.

What fun things can you think of to do if you were in London? The possibilities seem endless, yay!

I hope you are enjoying the sunshine

Howdy, how are you today. I hope it's sunny where you are and you are chirpy and happy. I am. Well, chirpy and happy and a bit sleepy. Probably shouldn't be sleepy as i'm about to go to work. Oh well, i'll have a cup of coffee and make a few cakes and that'll wake me up.

I am also looking forward to this weekend. A lot. I am taking a little trip up to London to visit my bestest friends in the world for a whole week. It'll be super. I have to think up some lovely things for us to do. What do you think we should do?

I might try and make my own boozy ginger beer. I've been told it's easy peasy to do. If you fancy giving it a go yourself you can find the recipe here. I'll let you know how it turns out (my dad has tried it and said it worked really well so i've got high hopes).

Mmmm ginger beer cocktails, now that sounds like a plan!
