Lovely, lazy, happy in case you were wondering....

The Great British Bake Off!

It's back!.....ok, ok i know it's been on for a few weeks now but i have been so absorbed with the pies, bread, cakes and puddings (actually that's next week) that they've been making that i completely forgot to blog about it. Damn it!

I am a massive fan of the show and this year they've picked another awesome mix of people. Some who you know are going to go far (i love James, who doesn't?) and others who you immediately want to get kicked off (that can't just be me?). This week it was the turn of pies and there were some amazing creations. The lime and ginger american showstopper pie made me immediately try and google a suitable recipe so i could recreate it!

It makes me want to hot foot it to my beloved KitchenAid Betty and whip something up (unfortunately this is impossible, Betty is currently in storage as i've had to move out of my flat for a few weeks while they take the ceiling down. Double damn).

Are you enjoying the show? Has it made you bake more than usual? I want to know what you've been making!

Bestival!

So.... having spent the past 29 years of my life having never been to a festival i now go and fit in two in two weeks! Hee hee.

I was very lucky to be invited to Bestival for free with boutique camping, which meant a lovely cute wendy house to sleep in and no tents! Yay.

There was so much to see and do, we saw some music, watched some comedy, ate good food and generally had fun in the sunshine. There was even a Wagamamas with a dance floor!

The weather was perfect and i had a wonderful weekend. I am now a total festival convert. Hooray!

Action figure vases.

I am a total child. I'll be the first to admit it (and if you read my blog this will come as no surprise to you!).

So when i found these brilliant vases here, i knew i had to share them with you. They appeal to my girlie flower loving side and my born-in-the-80s kid side. Plus they come in all sorts of bright cheery colours which i reckon would make anyone smile.

Their little hands were made for holding tiny guns but this also makes them perfect for holding stems. Ace.

End of the Road 2012.

Howdy there! Are you well? Been making the most of the last of the summer? It's getting noticeably darker and won't be long till the wooly scarfs and hats are out (which i love).

I spent the past weekend having a whale of a time. I went to my first festival! I wasn't sure what to expect, and was worried it might not be for me. But it turned out that i loved it and had a wonderful time.

And here are a few pictures of what it was like and what i got up to:

There was music, comedy, craft, games and great food. We even did a treasure hunt, some pottery and a spot of knitting! Fab.
