Christmassy London.

Good morning to you! How are you today? I hope you are well. Many people seem to have picked up a nasty cold and are poorly, so i hope you aren't one of them.

I went to London yesterday, Christmas shopping with my mum and sister. I had a really great time and got some wonderful Christmas presents.

First we went to Covent Garden.  All the decorations are now up and it is very festive and looks lovely. I spied a gigantic Christmas tree which made me smile.

We shopped for ages and then decided we needed to be fed and watered to went to Rules for lunch. If you have never been there it is a must. It's not the cheapest of places but it's worth it. It's very old school but the food is amazing.

I had steak and kidney pie and a gin and tonic and it was delicious. The whole place smelt of Christmas trees and it made me feel very Christmassy!

We then got caught in a down pour so took shelter in Fortnum and Masons (not a bad place to shelter). We bought lots of food, mainly chocolates and biscuits, and had afternoon tea.

They also had the most amazing Christmas decorations, very bright and shiny with lots show girls, circus masters and feather covered trees. It looked fab.

By that point we were pooped so we made our weary way to the train station and made our way home. What a perfect day.

Christmas ice.

Good afternoon! Kreete and i made Christmas coconut ice and some fudge this afternoon and i thought i'd share it with you. They both turned out nicely.

I ended up with mascarpone in my hair. I am messy.
If you are not a fan of the garish, you may want to avert your eyes. Our coconut is very very bright!
And covered in glitter. I love it.

What do you think? Would you prefer it white and pink? I like it a lot and having sampled quite a bit of it i can also report that it tastes lovely.

We also made fudge. Well, actually we made two batches as the first lot was a disaster. However the second lot came out a lot better. I haven't cut it up yet so i can't tell you what it tastes like but i'm hoping it will yummy.

Have you been making any Christmas goodies? What have you been up to? Less than a month to go!

Stuff + cat = awesome!

Have you ever heard of the website, Stuff On My Cat? You can find it here.

The premise is, you put funny things or as much stuff on your cat as possible. You then take a photos of your cat and upload it to the website.

Maybe it's the fact that i now have two cats and have become a real cat person. Maybe it's cat's often bored or slightly pissed off expressions. Maybe it's the fact that some of the photo's beggar belief.

Whatever it is, it makes me giggle. They even have a book!
Unfortunately my cats would never say still enough for me to do this.....i think......

Amigurumi animals.

Good morning to you! It's a lovely lazy Sunday and i intend to do just that, be a little bit lazy. I may also be a bit productive later on, it depends if i feel like it.

So, for the minute i'm going to drink strong black coffee, have a lovey breakfast and relax. How Lovely.

What are you up to today? Got busy Sunday plans or are you going to be a like me?

I bought another craft book yesterday, i really just couldn't resist. It's called Amigurumi Animals by Annie Obaachan.

Amiguruni is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll. Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features, as is typical in Japanese culture.

I really want to learn how to make them and this book seems to give a really clear and basic instructions. So i will have a go and let you know how i get on.

Plus one of the animals is called, 'Grumpy tiny mohair bear', how could i resist!

My second advent tea package!

I have had a lovely day. A really lovely day actually.

I spent the day relaxing and eating and generally being merry with my bestest girlie chums. It was fab.

And then i get home and find another lovely little package waiting for me. All the way from Finland.

There are some interesting teas in there (not that i know what they all are, although one is called 'Tiger's Daydream' which sound very exciting!), and i will have fun trying them all.

oooooh, i do love a good cuppa.
